Guys,
My laptop has SD card slot, but lacks a CF one, which is kind of bummer, since it means I have to insert / carry the USB version around. Did anyone see a high speed Express card 54 - CF reader that would get completely recessed into the expansion slot? So it wouldn't be a problem during laptop transportation.
Thanks & Regards,
Mikhail

I had a Lexar CF reader. It worked well but unfortunately my new laptop has no expresscard slot.

IMO Express-Card 54 cardreader is a dying concept. USB 3.0 has a firm grip around it's neck. I doubt you will see UDMA-7 support coming up for EC54.
Thanks! And it is a bit disappointing, since express card has 1x PCIe, so it is fast enough for almost whatever.
Though, this one would require reinsertion, since it has external part. Then it is not really better than USB3, indeed.

there is one that flush... http://www.ebay.com/itm/181317208116
I just ordered one. >:(
Please let us know how it works! :)
this is more or less the same speed as with my Kingston USB 2.0 cardreader
(despite of 512 k write, where I have 23.55 MB/s)
Is there a faster device?
I have a transcend USB 3.0 expresscard Adapter TS-PNU3,
but in my Vaiowith Win7 it only works with USB-sticks and SD Cards in Cardreaders, not with CF cards or Harddisks :-(
