Komputerbay 1000x vs 1050x ? Wich one is better for recording Raw video?
I have a komputerbay 1000x 64gb. But in crop mode i need more speed writing for recording. Is  komputerbay1050x a better choice  ?

Are there any faster CF Card???  :-\

I have both of those cards and the 1050x 128gb can barely record continuous 24p 1080 on a reliable basis.  I haven't tried crop mode though on either.  but the 64gb 1000x works perfectly and is very reliable for 24p continuous with sound on MLV.

I think 128GB 1050x and 64GB 1050x could be different in terms of real write speed, just like 64 1000x and 128 1000x. 64GB 1050x is still kind of mystery, seems that nobody from this forum own it...

Testing the 128gig 1050x and comparing it in performance with the 64gig 1000x and also a lexar 32gig 1000x
Used 5D2 and 7D for tests.

Verdict.

If you are using a 7D, you can use the 128 1050x and be able to do 99% of the resolutions that the 64gig 1000x can.

If your using the 5DmkII, it is consistently 1-2 resolutions lower.
So for instance:
64gig 1000X ------128gig 1050X
1X normal mode
1728x972 16:9----1728x864 2:1(with GD-OFF)
1856x928 2:1-----1856x790 2.35:1(gd-off)

3X crop mode
2048x872 2.35:1--2048x820 2.50:1
1920x872 2.20:1--1920x804 2.39:1

On the 7D both 64gig and 128gig can do similar resolutions for continuous recording.

128GB komputerbays are slower than their 64GB counterparts in general. 128 1000x is much slower (according to real world tests) than 64 1000x, 128 1050 is kind of smilar or just little bit slower than 64 1000x. In theory 64 1050x should be faster than 64 1000x and  128 1050x. We have to wait until someone buys KB64 1050x.

Many thanks.

I have two 64 1000s and two 64 1050s from komputerbay. I haven't formally tested them but have found no difference in record time for 60p shots.
