Title: AF-On for one shot, * for servo
Post by: larrycafe on February 18, 2014, 03:56:49 AM
I have been using the AF-On for focusing. Disabling half press to start AF.

when my kids is running around, I use servo, when they are not moving quickly, I use one shot for better precision focusing.

however, the switch between two mode is slow, with my 60D, I have to leave the view finder, click the focus button, move the wheel.

I know 7D has a function to use the depth of field preview button to switch. that is a welcomed function, however, if I can assign it to AE-lock (*) button, so that AF-on perform one-shot, (*) perform servo, that will be even better.

there was another similar request but not getting much attention to, I hope mine can be considered, thanks

Not all these buttons can be intercepted by Magic Lantern, but I will add switching servo mode to my hotkey module (currently wip), it'll be allocated to a cursor key / joystick direction.
