I am a 550D owner that bought the camera based on the promise of a CHDK type enhancement of the DSLR range. I was so happy to Alex's development after Trammels cracking of the code.
Since those early days I cannot describe how happy each new code addition has made me.
It really has breathed new life into an old model. So many features that I dare not hope for. HDR recording, focus assist, timelapse, histogram the list goes on and on.
Oh and audio improvements too. How could I forget ;)

I forgot to add that I am from Brisbane Australia and work for the national broadcaster. I have tried to get some shots to air using my DSLR and it is much easier with Magic Lantern. It provides the sort of proffesional feedback I wouldn't normally get from a domestic camera (peaking etc.).
