Title: First focus stack session with ML
Post by: Insecto on January 30, 2014, 04:34:43 AM
Not too long ago I put ML on my 6D solely for the focus stacking feature.  I shoot macro pretty much 100% and I do focus stack here and there.  Manually focus stacking takes a while and I'm usually inconsistent.  This pic is a 28 image series shot at f/2.8.  Needless to say, I am quite happy with ML.  :)

The only icing on the cake would be if I could control when the camera took the shot with a wired remote....

Good shot, I do hope the animal wasn't dead (i.e. killed by you) though :-o ... note that at this rate you'll burn your shutter in no time, personally I use my 60d for stacking (deeper dof) and for the 6d use at least f5.6-f8 as you need less stacks, the iq/sharpness is better and the background blur isn't that different from wide open.
