A quick summer time-lapse with I shot with an EOS M if anyones interested
Hey this is very cool, mind me asking your settings?
Sorry mate I only just saw this. I think it was 1/15th at 5.6
neat. i'm considering an EOS-M w/ ML for timelapse - i'm wondering what the limitations are? most significantly, is the max number of shots it can take pretty low due to buffer and/or battery capacity?
both :(
To use a lager battery, you could get one of these (http://www.amazon.com/ACK-E12-Adapter-Mirrorless-Camera-Coupler/dp/B00CDK0BOA/ref=sr_1_1/176-3357996-3714123?ie=UTF8&qid=1392854842&sr=8-1&keywords=eos-m+acadapter).
Just cut the cable that leads to the camera and connect five normal battery cells in series (7.5v), with the proper polarity, of course.
i was wondering more what the limitations specifically were..? i.e. how many shots can you fire in ML time-lapse mode before the buffer fills or battery dies? and is there an effect on the frequency of the shots due to the buffer?
Yeah, the battery is life is kind of lame. I haven't had it buffer out on me with stills yet. I have shot a bit of raw video with it and it's safe to say it's definitely not a BMC pocket camera killer like a few of the web have stated. It's still an epic little camera for the price point though, and having the interferometer into through the help of magic lantern has given me the opportunity to shoot some time-lapses in places I didn't want to lug around my 5D to.
Some of these were on the Eos-m as well, the rest were on the 5D
