Since I'll be shooting a short film in the coming weeks, I've done some testing with ML raw on the 5D2 and so far this is the best (or rather most efficient) workflow I found:
- Converted RAW to CinemaDNG in RAWMagic
- Used Bridge to open each sequence in ACR for exposure changes & colour correction, and applied VisionLOG camera profile
- Imported all sequences into AE & interpreted each sequence at 23.976fps (since default is 30)
- Denoised using Neat Video
- Exported each comp to Prores 4444
- Imported into FCP X
- Added Osiris LUT through LUT Utility and added grain through FilmConvert
If anyone's interested in more details post below :) I'll also be able to do a video tutorial in the coming weeks if it's of interest.
If the 5D2 capable of 16X9 shooting (non-crop), and if so what resolution have you been able to get continuous shooting (at least 3 solid minutes) at?
Is 2.35:1 the only aspect ratio that will give you sustainable shooting at the topmost sensor resolution (non-crop)?
