Title: Automatically turning off all data from screen while recording RAW 5D3
Post by: oferlevy on August 24, 2013, 02:45:35 AM
Hi all,
Sorry if it's a silly question but I just cannot figure it out.
Is there a way to automatically turn of all data showing on the screen after a few seconds WHILE RECORDING ? I know how to do it when not recording but I couldn't do it while recording.
Thanks and a HUGE thank you to everyone in ML - amazing work!!!
Cheers,
Ofer

Sure - you need to turn off Global Draw. You can either turn this off manually in the draw tab or set it as an option to turn off when recording in the raw menu.

Moving to general help board :)

Hmm... my bad - this still displays recording data.

Thanks for starting the thread, I've been wondering this myself as the write speeds seem to be fastest when there are ZERO displays on screen while recording.

Shooting on 5d2

While raw recording is in beta development stage, developing information will remain on screen.

Is there any way to hotkey Global Draw On/Off so that we can use it to set up a shot and then turn it off right before RAW recording?

Thanks again for everyone who shares what they've learned, it's so helpful and appreciated. :)
