Title: Hot/Dead Pixel hider..
Post by: Doyle4 on June 08, 2013, 06:36:36 PM
Would it be possible to be able to clone out dead/hot pixels? for example, you find one, remapping doesn't work, zoom in x10, and clone some pixels next to it cover it? not so much for photos but mainly for video?

Cheers,
Doyle

Dcraw is a command line tool which can read a text file with texture coordinates for each pixel and fix them. The downside is that you'll have to make the text file manually.

File example:

I guess pretty much all tools based on dcraw (e.g. ufraw, rawtherapee) recognize this file, right?

For me, running the sensor cleaning did the trick.

Thanks for both reply's.

Im no good at coding unfortunately so i wouldn't where to start, but thanks.

I ran the sensor clean a couple of times and its faded much more, visible at 4000iso ever so slightly but i hardy ever use high iso.
