Title: Creative art filters for photo
Post by: savuka on September 02, 2012, 01:36:59 PM
Hi

I was wondering if this is possible as it is implemented in 600d natively.

Fish Eye, Soft Focus, Toy Camera, Grainy B&W and Miniature effects.

Cheers
James

If anyone with a debug log is willing to upload one while using this functions I can have a look into it. Does it work in Live view only? Or everywhere?

It works from play mode only.
You select a picture from q menu select an effect and some setting for it and then finished it will save a jpg with applied effects.
here a video on how they work on 60D http://youtu.be/1f5XcvmJeK4?t=1m42s

examples:

what I is needed to do for making the log?

You need to enable the logger in dm-spy.c as per a1ex guide (just read the coments)

You're probably running out of memory.

It is possible to implement the movie image effects in jpeg (I think I've applied some of them by mistake, but I can't reproduce). But any decent image editor should be able to do those effects.
