Title: Tension // 6D ML RAW low-light / Nothern Marsielle
Post by: jackmoro on November 08, 2014, 03:15:51 PM
Very short project and had ended as it is.
Was about to find how far I can go with 6D RAW high iso shots and how much it can be graded after all.

Awesome colors! What iso did you use?

Thanks, Kelvin. As I recall it was from 800 up to 3200. But 3200 on my camera is not usuable, tbh.

Looks very good. How did you removed dead pixels at 3200?

I had manually remove pixels in LR, especially at last shot. I had too many to use just plugin.

Quite true: I got a 6D as well, and if you wanna shoot RAW, 3200 is the limit. Above that threshold, you might as well not shoot RAW and go back shoot in H264! you can crank it up to iso 10000 and get very nice footage! (It is known the 6D is a delight when it comes to high ISO : )

I'm using PixlPtcher for Sony Vegas, it's free and it works well, but only if you have few dead dots.

IMO if you use resolve in your workflow, just make some masks for dead pixels and append correction nodes for every scene you need. works for me.
and for less dead pixels don't use shutter speed below 1/50
