Title: Slate information file naming in Movie Mode
Post by: Brickful on April 05, 2015, 11:40:57 PM
Would it be possible to add an additional feature in Movie Mode for putting slate and shot information (like Scene #, Shot #, Take #, Framing) for scripted narrative filmmakers? This data could be stored as the filename for each movie file.

For example:
Shot information:
   Camera: A
   Scene #: 6
   Shot #: 28
   Take #: 3
   Framing: MCU
File Name: A_006_028_003_MCU.mp4

There should be a toggle-able option of automatically advancing each of the counters after takes (so after recording the file A_006_028_003_MCU.mp4 the camera will name the next file A_006_028_004_MCU.mp4 if take # advancing is enabled).

Having this feature could dramatically speed up narrative production by removing the need to slate in single-system and MOS shots and can aid heavily in organization in post production by simplifying the process of organizing and naming footage files on the hard drive, allowing editors to dive right into their work.

Comments are always welcome  :D
