Hello!
Somehow it went under my radar: An announcement for a book covering Magic Lantern. Release date 10/2017 (well, it was to be released in 2016 ...).
https://www.dpunkt.de/buecher/12569/9783864904127-magic-lantern.html
German author Martin Schwabe has written some helpful stuff about ML in fotocommunity.de (https://fotoschule.fotocommunity.de/magic-lantern-teil-1/) and for magazine "c't Digitale Fotografie" issue 05/2015. He got some things wrong (IMO), though and I took the liberty to write something about it in this forum (http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=15045.0).
Don't know if he is going to cover nightly builds now (nope, he covered "stable" until now).
I'm sceptical about the plan to cover ML in print. Either he covers outdated "stable" or must take a stand and will not be able to keep up with developer's take on April Fools Day (and other newer developments).
My 2 cents, of course.
@dpunkt-verlag: Ihr könntet ja mal g3gg0 kontaktieren, was er für inhaltliches Gegenlesen angemessen hält.
ouh didn't notice either
What next? A £100 million dollar hollywood movie? That would be almost surreal..
I'm working on some magic lantern fanfic.
"As the SD card was slid into the unlocked position it was now fully writeable."
I think a bi yearly magic lantern magazine would be a better idea with the constant changes and development.
Print seems to be cancelled.
No info found at dpunkt and reseller Lindemanns states "erscheint überhaupt nicht" (roughly: Will not be released at all).
I'll just wait till 10/2017 to see what it is. 8)
Books are obstolete.
I think whoever takes and explains something to the community is adorable.
However Inalso believe that even though he took of his time tomerite his explanations down you devs have also made that software. I think it would be OK if he shares 10% of the profit with ti help to cover at least the forum hosting server expenses and domain fees.

existiert leider nicht.
Sounds more dramatic in German but basically, don't hold your breath for the book much less for 10% of the profit.
Leider "noch" nicht :/
Ein weiterer Eintrag von Dir, dessen Sinn mir vorläufig nicht zugänglich ist.
At least Martin Schwabe had some success with "Canon EOS 5D Mark III Profifunktionen - Neue Funktionen der EOS 5D Mark III im Detail" which is an excellent book about some of the lesser-understood features
of the 5DIII. When I was a new owner of that wonderful camera, Schwabe was helpful. But with the speed, with which ML evolves, it would be a herculean effort to make a book, that would not be obsolete the day it came out of the press. When I try to compare the ML I learned to use back in '14 and the tool we have today, it has been quite a voyage, quite an achievement and quite a big feast!
Ok just my 5 cents worth. Rather than a book it would IMO be great if there was an option to upload short video tutorials here by those who wish to help others both in Video and still photography.

Well, that's something I had in mind, too. My take: First things first. Video tutorials share some of the problems with help files/text tutorials (plus introducing some more). See http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=20455.0
I hope I'll be able to spend some time helping giving birth to this this.
Video is always better than text these days indeed. :-)
Doubt.

Hehe. Would love to. Give me a working 5D4 ML and you might see a video or two, why not a whole playlist with ML videos from me ;)
