Title: Unable to access AGC (Auto Gain Control) option in Magic Lantern for T5i
Post by: HardEdgeFilms on February 19, 2015, 03:06:17 AM
Hello,

New to use of Magic Lantern and to this community.

I recently looked into and installed Magic Lantern on my 700D/T5i camera. My interest was the zebra, focus peak and AGC toggling features but primarily offing AGC. However, I can't seem to find the audio settings in the Magic Lantern menu. Can someone help me out with how to disable AGC on my T5i using Magic Lantern?

Thank you!

The Magic Lantern features page lists that AGC_TOGGLE is unavailable for the 700D/T5i. Anyone know why this is? Are 700D/T5is too new a model of camera? Will there inevitably be a version of Magic Lantern that provides this missing feature? For the time being, is there some type of workaround?

You can still access this in the main Canon menu. Is there a reason you need to do it from within Magic Lantern?

After a little more research and some personal tests, I've realized the solution to my audio problem. I'm now under the impression AGC can be turned off by changing the audio control settings to manual through the Canon menu. I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for your response.
