Some features of magic lantern are very useful to use for run-and-gun style video recording.  For example magic lantern auto white balance is fantastic.  (most importantly it is one shot)

What might be nice is to be able to assign these functions to some physical button.  For example: I could assign the * button to one shot auto white balance and SET to switching between focus peaking and magic zoom.  Obviously these are my preferences, and I suspect that everyone will have different ideas as to which feature is best to make quick access.

On my camera (7D) canon have their 'customise what each button does' menu, but obviously that menu will not allow me to select magic lantern features. (but I do notice that I can set AF-ON, * and SET to do nothing in that menu, which would leave them free for ML to use - assuming that the events for those buttons are still sent).

As an aside, I think that this feature request would deal with the 'what button to use' / 'does everyone one want access to this feature' part of this request:

(edit: whoops, I should probably have made this a sub-post of http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=4010.0 - please forgive me)
(edit2: Okay, this place is full of duplicates.  This post wants to assign functions to the set button http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=4224.0 )

I am joining in this one!

As i am doing a lot of event photography where in certain situations I would really need Dual-ISO - I would like to "enable/disable" it by pressing a button (or why not two buttons at the same time) so it could be done right away. Speed is everything in event photography.

Someone might ask why I dont shoot Dual-ISO enabled all the time. I could, but converting the ML Raw -files to DNGs for Lightroom is an incredible slow process. It takes about 2hours for 200 photos to be converted..
