Greets all,

After I installed ML I noticed that the access lamp blinks when I open the SD Card cover, the battery cover and while changing lenses. This happens even IF the camera switch is set to OFF (Canon 600D). Is this normal? Is there a reason behind this behavior?

Regards

David.

thanks ilguercio for telling me that this is normal with Magic Lantern. Hope this won't deteriorate the battery life.

Someone on bitbucket tested how long the battery will last with just a blinking LED. Let's just say the power usage is almost non-existent

It is just ONE blink, after you get it you can pull the SD card out so the camera won't still try to access the card even though you think it is turned off and resting.
Many of us had the experience of a drained battery overnight because of this, now you know how to avoid it.
