When I was looking at a dark cityscape today something came to my mind: wouldn't it be cool if it were possible to bump up the ISO during exposure?
It could be used i the same way 1. and 2. curtain flash is used, to capture the beginning or the end (or theoretically any point) of a long exposure.
Would this in theory be possible with ML?

The closest approximation you can get would be 2 bracketed images - a long exposure at ISO 100 and a short exposure at ISO 1600, for example. There will be a small delay between the two.

You can write a small Lua script to do this.

@dmilligan: thanks for the link, I too had been fooled :-)
@a1ex: true that's of course possible but the delay might be annoying by interrupting a trail of light for example.

Thanks guys!
