I'm trying to get the EOSM working with the Radian 2 timelapse device.

I'm using the shutter signal from the Radian into the EOSM Audio port.

The problem I'm having is that the Radian shutter line appears really noisy.

A limit of 20dB is not enough.

If it is possible, is there some who could tweak the ML Audio Trigger code to increase the limit from 20dB to, say, 30dB, so I can prove the concept of the EOSM being triggered via the Radian.

BTW I have proved the Audio triggering works of a cheap wifi triggers, the problem is the noisy Radian.

Interesting, so the Radian 2 sends out an audio signal to trigger the camera? I did some experiments a while back and found that the Triggertrap iPhone app can trigger a camera using Audio Remote Shot.

I posted a build for you that has the 20db limit changed to 40db. However, you should still be sure that the Canon menu is set to manual audio gain because automatic gain doesn't play well with Audio Remote Shot.

I got your build, but following your education, I most probably didn't need it.

The issue, as you said, was that I hadn't appreciated the auto gain, because I never use video/sound, ie I have never turned the EOSM switch to video, hence never seen the menu.

I can confirm that the EOSM works with the Radian 2  :)

I will write up my findings/setting on my blog and post a link back on the ML forums.

Another success for ML !!!!!
