Downgrading Canon 7D

Hi everyone, I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this.

I'm very close to buying a canon 7D but I really want to make sure I can downgrade it if it was shipped with either the 2.0.5 or the 2.0.6 firmware. I've read that a lot of people were able to but I also read that it can't be done if it was already shipped with a 2.0.5+. I need to make sure it's possible before I can buy it.

If anyone has downgraded with the firmware already shipped, that would really help to reassure me.

If you got different answers it may mean there is someone doing it wrong. May I ask where the information about "not downgradeable" comes from? Link please.

I just downgraded the firmware from 2.0.6 to 2.0.3 on  my Canon 7D Mark I. Worked the same as upgrading.
