Help getting clean output through hdmi in a canon 70d.

Hello guys.     
     
     I need help  in getting a clean output through hdmi in 70D.  I want to connect my dslr with a mini hdmi  to hdmi  to my tv in live view.    How can I get audio to be picked up by an external microphone  that feeds to the dslr,  so that I can hear it as I broadcast on my tv? ....      Do I  have to install Magic Lantern and what would  be the steps to clear any overlays?   Thank you.
