swapping button functionality around canon 1100D

hi a bit of a strange question but here we go, i would like to swap the 'half trigger/focus button' with the 'FE lock button/ Index/Reduce button (*)' on a canon 1100D

so when i half trigger it's doing the function of the FE lock button/ Index/Reduce button (*), can i do something like this in LUA if so where do i start?
