How to record 2K Raw video on a 50D?

I might sound stupid asking this question, but I cannot shoot raw video above 1280 by 720 p. When i try to select a higher res, the bottom text line says that it is not possible in the current video mode. I have a lexar 16gb 1066x cf card.
Any help would be very appreciated!!!

You won't be able to record 2k with 50D no matter what you do, unfortunately.
To achieve resolution higher than 1584x1008 you have to enter crop mode.

The bottom text line is a bit stange, however. Especially after taking into account your CF card - it should handle it more than 720p easily.

And you should know that the r/w speed of your camera was been limited which can not be solved by using a high speed CF card.
