Canon 50D for learning raw video?

Hi! I recently bought EOSHD's guide to magic lantern with the canon 50d and it seems very intersting, but that thing was made a while back and i wonder if the canon 50d still is relevant in the world of raw video. Im not going to use it profesionally, i see it as a way for me to get better at grading and understanding color and i've read that raw is the best for that. I thought of getting the BMPCC but its 4x the price of a 50D.
If anyone would be a lovely soul and share a couple of dngs for me to play around with from the 50d it would be really really nice of them.
