Hello everyone!

I just bought a new SD card (Kingston SDA3/64GB with 80MB/s write speed). However I can't record RAW video with my 60D because it's stops after 3-4 seconds. Which raw module should I use? mlv_rec? Why I can't record to this card?

Thanks for help

Walter Schulz

60D is limited to about 21 MByte/s write speed. Nothing you can do about it. Make sure running ExFAT file system and MLV_REC.mo. Global draw off.

Thanks for your help, I tried everything, but it seems that I cannot record more than 5sec.

Settings and modules used? Benchmarked your card?

rkrisi

I have turned off global draw, and I used mlv_rec

How can I benchmark my card?
Anyway it stops when the buffer is around 21MB/s

What frame size are you shooting with?

Required bandwidth:
1728 x 972 x 24 x 14 / 8 = 70.543.872 Byte/s -> 67,3 MByte/s

Bandwidth available = 21 MByte/s

Thanks for help, but I thought that it has a workaround to pass this bandwidth limit

There are no workaround for hardware limitations.
