Hi guys,

Very new to the forum and I tried to find a post about this and didn't find the exact thing I was looking for.

I've just installed (the newest build of) ML on my 6D and it's great BUT RAW video stops after 4-6 seconds (with both raw_rec.mo and mlv_rec) even on my pny 64gb 90mb/s sd card. Changing the resolution helps but obviously I'd like to shoot max at 1792x1008.

I'm assuming the problem has to do with my card (and I messed around in the debug menu). It's pretty frustrating.

Thanks

Canon decided to use a rather slow SDcard interface. It's limited to about 41 MByte/s write rate. There is nothing you can do about it.
Either use high resolution and very short recording durations
or
run lower resolution with data rates below 41 MByte/s for continuous recording.
720p24 is possible, for example.

But there is external recording via HDMI.

Oh really? I'll have to check that out. And is 720p 24frames what people usually use then?

WhiteMagic

External recording with HDMI is the not same quality as RAW.
