Hi,

I am trying to compile the magic lantern source code on my Ubuntu system. I checked out the code using

hg clone -r unified https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern

and I installed the packages gcc-arm-none-eabi, dcraw and exiftools. Then I tried to adjust the makefiles to the settings needed for my computer (should be more or less the standard for all linux systems). It seems, that a lot of changes need to be done in multiple files of multiple directories. For a beginner like me, this is quite complicated, since it requires the understanding of more or less the entire package. (My aim is just to compile cr2hdr, that I need for postprocessing dual iso photos.)

Is there anybody, who has already gone through this process and could post his code or some explanations for the needed changes? Or is there already a tutorial?

Thanks for your help.
Thomas

You should consider running the prebuilt vm offered in 1st link. If you wanna set up your own build machine you'll need some patience but the summon-arm script should give you an insight of all the necessary stuuf used to build ML from source.
