how to do ghost image and/or cropmarks on 5dii?

I have seen one or two bits of tutorial but they don't explain the full process.  I would like to have a ghost image on screen so that i can line up a new picture in the same place.  The original ghosts are real ghosts as they have been taken several years ago on film cameras of various formats.  From what i have seen this should be possible but not sure how best to achieve it.
