Hi all,

I have been trying to install ML on my mark3 firmware 1.2.3 several time with no success. I followed the steps of formatting sd first in PC and then on camera but each time i get this response "Memory card containing firmware is required to update"

can anyone tell me how i can successful deal with this to move on the step of installing ML on my camera. I am so anxious to discover all the capabilities possible with ML on mark3

Firmware version you used? ML version you downloaded?

And you jumped a bit.
After formatting the card inside the cam there will be no error message.
So you did something wrong between those two events.

After formatting the card inside you have to copy extracted nightly contents (cardreader again) to your card, insert card into cam and run Firmware update procedure.

I used the ML unified stable v2.3 . firmware on the camera is 1.2.3 .I dont know if i should downgrade to older version 1.1.3 as i am not what the outcome could be on the camera

You can't use stable build with m3. Period.

Stay with 1.2.3 and join the darker side. (= Nightly builds)
Or use 1.1.3 and nightly builds for 1.1.3 (some kind of a dead track but there are some pros)

Make up your mind.

where can i get the installation routine for 1.2.3?
