Sorry if this has been answered, but how do I remove ML from 550d or is there perm flag in camera, or do I just load the canon supplied firmware again?

Will anybody be able to tell if it had ML installed on camera?

Thanks.

You can skip the fw upgrade procedure, just do a FULL format of the SD card on the PC

It will be covered in a video-tutorial so don't worry. In the meantime just plug the SD card on the PC, backup you photos, right click on it and select format... then DON'T check quick format and press OK. This procedure should work

Just the bootloader flag, you can reverse that with the firmware upgrade procedure you tried already....

I think everything turned out, found the instructions from version 2.2, it says so -
No.Magic Lentern runs from the cart,as aan add-on over standart firmware.
You will still be able to access all Cenon functionality.
Press and hold SET at startup to bypass ML only once (for the curent session).
Format your card in the camera and choose to remove Magic Lantern.
Disable the bootflag (this will uninstall ML from the camera; to do this, run Firmware Upgrade and follow the instructions).
