Well yes, it's pity for me, I'd appreciated it a lot, but unlike the homepage picture, perfectly clear info from you. Thanx.

Btw. I've got another question, should be in 5D2 forum correctly, but I believe You know the answer. When monitoring sound during live view on 5D2 I only hear left channel, is it a problem of my very camera, or it's normal and I mis a cable with some special wiring? (rca to phone jack adapter or a sesscom cable - don't have clu what is it)

Walter Schulz

Sorry, please switch to 5D2 thread after consulting search function.

OK, I see.
Anyway thanks to everybody behind this sweet piece of software, I appreciate it a lot.

Synced the source code to main builds, so a new nightly should appear soon.

Please note the build is untested, so you should probably wait for feedback from early testers before upgrading.

Thanks a1ex. So far so good with this build. ML menus all work fine, and I haven't noticed any problems with what I've tried (briefly) so far: dual-ISO, auto ETTR, advanced bracketing, silent pictures, various global draw features. I haven't tried any video features.

Just wondering in the newest 1.2.3 nightly (8-23-2016) if debug logging is disabled in mlv_rec again?

Reason I ask, is in reference to reply #1386, it seems that may have been the problem for corrupt frames.

BIG thanks to a1ex and everyone else who made this new 123 build happen  :)
Clean HDMI is really important to some of us, so this is gratefully received!

Dear All,

Does Magic Lantern offer a possibility to record voice tags? I tried to find such a functionality but was not successful.

Thx in advance,
WGT

And now the 5D Mark IV.  What would ML do with 4K - non-cropped video RAW ;

noipego

there is already 5d4 discussion in the general chat...as for the new build many thanks...recorded 1T at 1080/ 24&25 fps and everything looks good. Ill do my tests at higher fps and cropped modes later

I think Canon is giving Jpegs. And we need RAW, I hope Team ML will stand and deliver again to the challenge.

Direct link for the 5Dmk4 discussions, please?  I can't find it.

With the Nightly.2016Aug24.5D3123 build, rec.led.off = 1 doesn't work any more?
Adding this line to magic.cfg doesn't work, red LED still blinks when recording.
Anything I'm missing?

blitzkrieg666

whoops just saw #48 in https://builds.magiclantern.fm/jenkins/job/5D3.123/45/

It says old hackish implementation, doesn't seem to work anyway. Well, it worked fine for me on the previous 2015Dec20.5D3123 build anyway.. what gives?

a1ex

Last time I tried it, I could barely notice any difference.

If there is still interest in this feature, I can look into it again.

Yup it worked flawlessly for me, both normal h.264 and raw/mlv won't have the red LED blinkin'.  So yea, rec.led.off is worth a look i guess.

With Nightly.2016Oct09.5D3123 build, rec.led.off is still disabled?
Anyone can confirm?

savale

not sure if this is the right topic, but here we go:

specs:
5d3 1.2.3 With Nightly.2016Oct09.5D3123
FeelWorld 760 (1080p native 7 inch). I tested the monitor and it can display 1080p from my laptop. According the specs it can display @ 50/60//24 fps

camera settings:
I set the camera settings to mirror HDMI, PAL, 1920@24fps video
magic lantern settings to default.

But even what I try it always seems to output 1080i (50/60hz) over hdmi instead of 1080p @ 24

tried:
I tried ntsc, 25 fps, 24fps hdmi output as options, but it's not helping.
is it even possible or am I missing something?

Lars Steenhoff

@savale

I think thats normal, when I use the atomos ninja blade I can select in the ninja menu if I want to do pulldown to 25p when the camera outputs 1080i.

By the way if you only use it for monitoring 1080i should be fine, the camera will record to 24/25p internally.
