I get these files next to all the .mlv clips sometimes while doing raw recording and I'm not sure if they are important or not. Anyone know what to do with these? Thanks!

IDX files are produced when you view your raw/mlv via file manager viewer. You can delete them if you want. the tmp files are preallocation files. leave them.

Always? Or until you copy all your mlv files off the card?

best practice is, after you offload your files and confirmed the transfer you format the card in camera, that erases the tmp files as well and ML will make a new one during your first recording.
In camera format is best to prevent fragmentation of data compared to deleting of files via card reader.
