Breaker and Nanomad

I am live and testing, just struggling with a format to give feedback. I was looking for a structured approach,  so I will reuse breakers posts.

I have started with the prefs menu.. and added my findings...  I have done some user testing, just stability and in general i have no real live hiccups.   I will revisit and test your other posts if i have the time.

PREFS MENU
Image review settings:    time laps : working
                                      Exposure adjust : working
                                      422 preview: ( no files found ) have not played around with those settings so seems to work but not fully tested
                                      exposure fusion : working
                                      compare images : working

                                      Image review: working

                                      Quick zoom:
                                      on (fast)  : I see no difference with off 
                                      singel press 100%: working
                                      full zoom on af: Not working ( or all my AF are perfect centred)
                                      Quick erase : working

Live view zoom settings:
                                     5x : off not working (no zoom at all)
                                     10x : off not working (no zoom at all)
                                     Rest (3 options) do not work as far as i can see

Focus box settings
   Speed:                      Not working
   Snap points:               Not working (what is the CENTER key of the 650D, SET?) I dont know either...
Misc key settings:          Not working

Warning for bad settings:
   Mode warning:            Working (but in creative modes it's no text on screen, only blinking red light) Confirmed, and if i go back with the scroll weel, the text does not come back, only after selecting M again.
   Quality warning:          Working
   ALO warning:              Not working (Warning even if my ALO is off (Same fault on my 7D Alpha2!)) What is ALO??  have to look it up, so not tested
Powersave in LiveView:   Not working

Thats wonderful to hear. Enjoy your lantern! Lets hope the other camera can join in relatively fast. Great job !

What will be the next step? A closed pre alpha, or another semi open per alpha? Or is it alpha time already. Just wondering at what step of the development we are now. And how I can participate.

There is still a little bug (but very easily fixable) : When I rotate the screen, it gets mirrored (The writings are backwards !)

I can confirm this bug, same here

If i remove the sd card the camera boots normaly win xp Here

If i film above the 4GB the counter gets stuck at 0:03... however the file is split and just continues to record

What I meant is that it's called advanced bracketing now, but don't bother testing as it's not working in this build

Thats clear then wont test it....  testing video >4GB now...

About bracketing, are you sure it's not in the shoot menu under the name of Adv. bracketing? (no camera here, so I can't check, sorry)

under advance bracketing i have:
-bracket type
-frames
-ev increment
-sequence
-2 sec delay
-iso shifting
-post scripts

With all the options there it may be the HDR you mean, but noting called HDR

I did see that font addr bad too, but it did work... did you put the camera in M on the dial wheel (my error the first time)? 

Did find something that i cant get to work...(could be me)  Focus bracketing I keep getting a focus error :-(

Check if HDR bracketing works. If it does, I somehow screwed up the build

for movie it does, i cant find it anywhere else ..

so it should be in the shoot menu... well its not... so no screwing up

done, Just taken the jump. Works fine, did all the custom scripts

Played around with the HDR filming option and that works also fine.

Focus zebra striping etc works as it should. Cant find anything that does not work.

Actually, no. With alpha builds the risk of bricking is higher. If you can't afford the downtime then please don't try running them.

I wont, but will do the reading on how it schould be done, so if there is an alpha, i will be ready to go

You can choose what to boot: Canon or ML.
So if ML is not performing right, or you can't use it as you would like, you can boot the camera without ML.

I am limited in time, and cant risk the downtime of a bricked camera, so i will skip the first wave, if i feel comfortable that it works for others i will jump in and start testing.

Sorry if this reply gets anybody hope up. Just here to let you (the developers) know that i would love a magic lantern on my brand new 650D. I also have a 400D, and that kind of left me out of the ML stuff. I do a lot of macro stuff and i would love the focus stacking option.

If there is any way for me to help (sorry no coding/hacking skills) please let me know.

Looking forward to ML for 650D
