On the risk of telling to myself that this is off topic... Has a patreon account an added value?

I do support some podcasters, that say, if you like us, support us, you will not get any thing extra, just the worm feeling of doing good!

That could work here too. I would happily do a monthly contribution that would be used for eg hosting, tools etc.

QuoteMy Problem
When i focus Object 1 and after that i focus with +/- to Object 2,then its going back automatically (its focusing back to Object 1) to object 1.it does not remain on Object 1.

From the user guide:

QuoteFollow Focus

Very simple follow focus (like a rack focus controlled manually).

Arrows: you will be able to focus with the arrow keys.
LCD Sensor: on 550D/500D, focus by placing your hand near the LCD sensor (avoiding shake). To use this, you may need to disable LCDsensor Remote.
Recommended focus step settings:

Focus StepSize: 1 or 2
Focus StepDelay: small values, without Step Wait
If the motion is not smooth, try larger delays (100ms)
Quick rack focus while recording:

Press MENU to save current focus point (this means I want to return here);
Use follow focus to change focus point (focus somewhere else);
Press PLAY to go to saved focus point;
Press PLAY again to go back.

Does it behave differently?

QuoteI am currently running the build from 1st of September 2014
Are there there some important changes between this and the most recent build?

There are changes almost daily, check the changelog or repository to see what is changed. If it is important....? that really depends on your needs i think.

Did you press the trashcan?

Can you confirm?

I will test it asap, most likely this weekend!

Confirmed,

I can trigger e.g. dim display by pressing info, however can't trigger it by lcd sensor.

Please read the post of oct 29 of A1ex , it looks like some of the devs have run out of spare time, but they will be back.

If you look at the source:

https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/commits/all

You can see the lates commit is of Nov 22. So its just slow at the moment.

Hi guys,

Where are the nightly 650d builds held? Or a reliable working version with some of the latest features. On my version if i enabled movie crop, then go back to photo mode i can't take a photo.

Thanks

haha a1ex, you would almost tempt me to give it a try, however my coding skill are virtually non existent.

Can it be added to this list? http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=9625.0. ?

Unfortunately I also have no programming skills. lets hope that one of the devs picks this up!

I just wanted to request a similar feature. A friend uses a Panasonic, and they have the option to use the LCD sensor for autofocus. So if you move the camera to your eye, the camera starts autofocus or half shutter press. This can be a neat feature. Of course not as needed as the request from n8hawk.

n8hawk, have you considered using a battery grip? http://www.camerashop.nl/product/178459/category-182632-battery-grip-voor-canon-cameras/canon-bg-e11-battery-grip.html The shutter butten is alo present on the device, maybe on a beetr location for you?

 :P Looks like Nanomad has you covered.... sounds like it should be finished in no time  ;)

How long do you think it will be before we see headphone monitoring on the 650D? I'm not trying to be a pest, I'm just curious. I know the people who help in the development work hard and donate a bunch of their time. Do you think it could me a few weeks out, a few months out, a year or so, or could there be some factor that could make it so it might never happen?

Generally, what's involved with adding a feature like this? Are there other problems that have to be solved or reversed engineered before hand?

your question may be considered a troll question. I do however believe that your requested feature is on the wish list of the developers. If you are a developer yourself, please feel free to contribute. A time frame is: its done when its done... could be tomorrow, could be never....

i can't fine the DUAL_ISO.MO in "Module".

But i found ettr.mo, file_man.mo, pic_view.mo and raw_rec.mo only. Any idea how to put in or make the DUAL_ISO.MO appear and working?

Do you use the latest build?

There are issues. Check the first post.

I am aware of the bugs, and other stuff that is not working 100%, but please consider that this an alpha build...
#24
just a shout out to the devs...  its nice to see so much active development. I use ML 100% of my shooting, and (almost) everything is 100% stable. Best alpha i have ever tested. Its clear from that activity on this tread that there are almost no issues. Props!

Keep up the work, if there is any additional stuff i can help with ( i will keep moderating these treads) you know how to find me!
