Indeed point taken @Danne!

2.5k is just absolutely marvelous and definitely a sweet spot for the 5D3...

Good call and now I'm curious to try this 10 2.8 sigma that I borrowed from work... Not sure if it's worth getting that modified without risking myself in getting fired (if I were to break it)??

LoL
#2977
I noticed that as well. @a1ex is correct on being slightly underexposed. Try keeping it between 2-3 stops should help if you really want to push the DR!
#2978
Which OS X are you running?

it may be easier for you to set it as a 'workflow' service?

#2979
Thanks for your response @dmilligan -- I apologiZe for the confusion between these two apps.

I'll look into SourceTree as soon as I get back from being on the road for work. Should be off this weekend to do so.

However, I do also own Xcode but I'm afraid the my GCC ARM 'tool chain' may not have been set Up properly because I believe I got a few errors in Terminal when trying to run/install from a guide I found through ML wiki (forgot the link but will get back to you on that) unless you know of a better step by step guide?

So I can confirm that it is in fact set  properly before going ahead with it...

Heck I may need to call one of my old buddies from HS to come by and look into the codings.

I know I'm lame like that! :)

Agreed w @Walter Schulz regarding 5D3 over 5D2 and its factors.
#2981
Thanks @Andy600 for your deep depth explanation regarding the workflows w your LUTS. Looking forward to testing them out this weekend when I get back from work on the road!

Quite interesting... Which workflow did you use for this?

I understand that and I'm one of the few that enjoys trouble-shooting to help narrow down the bugs.

I am aware of that -- just thought I'd ask since it doesn't hurt to try. Anyone care to share?

I also believe your 50 MB/s card will work just as well... ;)

I'm also curious to see how well it'll perform with a Sandisk 32gb extreme pro (90 MB/s) ;)

Any chance anyone can tell us where we can find the pre alpha build or is it not yet released?
#2988
Happy New Year @Andy600 and will definitely test them!

Thanks for your hard work on this!

Glad you got FRSP to work on your 5D3 (even w a broken shutter) @blackcannonfilms!  8)

Great news everyone and excellent fine work by @nikfreak & @nanomad!

As always, I'm a happy tester (although I'm no prgrammer) but starting to get the hang of compiling and coding with MacHg (still learning it's kinks though).

PM me @baldand anytime if you ever decide to get back on releasing your marvelous app once again!

Happy New Year, Andrew!
#2992
Yeah I figured but to pull and compile which do you use?

I'm starting to regret upgrading to Yosemite...

Ugh!
#2993
@dmilligan Did it not work well with MagHg?

@Danne -- which text editor do you normally use for OS X?
#2994
Interesting -- thanks everyone for your correspondents and will confirm once I can regarding the previews of (C)DNG's from within MLVFS...

Is that the only converter that works well for Yosemite besides mlv2dng & MLVFS?
#2995
This is already possible with ML installed and works quite well w my 5D3 and EOS-M (but don't use it often anymore because I like to be able to control them manually which you still can even after using custom AWB)

Not sure if it'll work for your 650D but check out the Prefs section in ML menu

and scroll down to Arrow/SET shortcuts > ISO/Kelvin (Set to ON) as well as 'Use SET Button' (set to ON)

and then Press RATE button (again this is on 5D3 -- not sure for 650D) where you will then see layout options on LCD whereas if gives you choices to increase/decrease ISO or Kelvins and then there's also a middle button that says 'PushWB'

which is I believe what you were referring to earlier...

Good Luck!

Great work @nikfreak -- PM me if need a beta tester on the 70D otherwise I'll be happy waiting until its release.

and yes there are different ICU's in each 70D regardless of which year it was made. Mine was from early 2014 I believe (or late 2013 but will double check) which didn't work during the small "Hello World" testing several days ago.

The newest ICU release date is about 25th September 2013.

But there's also one from July 2013 installed on some cameras.

Patience is virtue!

I got to the point where I couldn't stand the fact that I can't compile this code into the FRSP module (anxious to use the 25-30 sec shutter speed) that I decided to take a deep dive into ML wiki ( http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Lantern_Development_on_Mac) and followed the step by step to get myself ready to compile with the that code posted by @Greg whom he got it from @A1ex (Thanks for that) but since I'm not quite sure how to start on editing the Module within MacHGg application.

Can I just dive into that module and just copy the code and replace it?

Can't be easy as it sounds...

or am I wrong?

Thx.
#2998
That makes sense. Thanks @dmilligan -- guess at this point I'll have to 'toggle' between nightly builds depending on what I need for each shoot.

Not a big deal...  :o

Ran into a error crash report pop-up window while recording MLV recently, tried triggering FRSP which caused this... Anyone care for this particular crash report?

I find it odd that the report itself came out rather short --  literally almost like nothing.
#2999
Either MLRV and/or MLVFS...

I just don't get it why it worked fine in Mavericks but not in Yosemite?
