H.264 or MLV ?

The AGC toggle was removed from the menu, I can't remember why...

If you can change the input analog gain then the agc is disabled.
Not sure, I haven't a 550d anymore...

You need to enable the module mlv_snd to get audio with RAW video.

There is no more "stable" release.
But you can use the latest nightly without problems, it's quite stable.

Is it possible to get an inverted (negative) image in LV ?
I'm doing a lot of negatives reproduction and it can be cool to see the "real" image on LV...

For windows the commands are :

exiftool -b -Aspectratio+=249 *.cr2
exiftool -CroppedImageTop=0 *.cr2
exiftool -CroppedImageHeight=3840 *.cr2

Ok

So, create a directory in you drive and copy you files and exiftool in it. If you exiftool is "exiftool(-k)", just rename it to exiftool
Go to this directory in command line and type "exiftool" to see if it work.

After this you can try the commands from Walter (without any . , this is for linux)

If you open a command prompt and just type "exiftool", do you get something ?

You must drag you CR2 over exiftool(-k) to see informations about your file.

And you must open a command line prompt to type the commands from Walter.

Can you play the file ? Or open it in another application ? (e.g. VLC)

And won't show anything to import if I hook it up to my computer

You need a card reader to see your files in your computer, you can't see it through the usb connection.

Great but 7D has a crippled sd card interface so you can't continuously record at full res...

Not sure for the 7D but i think you need to shoot 720p in NTSC (60 fps) and increase the FPS.

But maybe one with a 7D can better answer, sorry.

Are you trying to shoot raw or h.264 ?

The max speed of the SD interface is 40 MB/s so you can't go higher even with a fast card.

Take a look at the bottom of the screen when you select resolution in the MLV module, it will tell you wath is possible. (green or yellow text)
