Thinking about buying a used 5DII but so many now have the 1.3.5 firmware.

Can it be reloaded with retro 1.2.3?

Hi all...

My camera won't record more than 7 or 8 seconds before "skipped frames stopping" error and stops.

any ideas?

Also --this tutorial guy shows a "raw_rec" setting I do not have. Is his an older software build?

Thanks...

Hello.

Im using a Komputer Bay 64gb card w/ my 5D3.

It it appears my videos are cut off at 4gb. It basically just stops reocrding w/o and indication. When I drag the file to MLVrawviewer OR using raw2sdng same thing. The movie STOPS recording at the same place everytime. And the sound drops off well before that!  I've tried different cards --same thing.

Making me nuts.  Any idea what's going on?

I took a sample video / MLV with my 5D3 using Cine (Neutral) picture style. I used MLV Mystic to convert it to DNG. I bring the frames straight into DaVinci and it does NOT have that flat neutral base starting point.

So thinking I needed a plug in or something to get it there, so I can begin to learn color grading I bought the Cinelog-C for DaVinci. Which as you can see by the second picture it gets me that flat starting point. I think I just wasted my money cause it SHOULD come that way from the ML/5D3 --right?

But why did my image not just come that way straight from the MLV?

As straight from DNG into DaVinci

With Cinelog-C

Laughing is totally understandable.., I am so green at this.

Might be an issue with recording 1920 x 1080 on 60D using a 128gb Lexar card.

Where do I submit the COREDUMP and CRASH logs?

Hello... brand new here. Seems like there's no standard work flow to get my MLV files from my 5D3 made into a movie with sound.  I tried MlRawViewer_1_4_3 and got the images exported to dng... then managed to open the dngs using Abode Bridge Raw Viewer and saved them out as Tiff files and then opened those in Premiere. However.. it did NOT give me any sound. What am I doing wrong?  Is there a separate sound file I need to import?

Is this the best work flow using a Windows 7 machine and premiere CS6

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello.

On my desktop when I drop my first test dual-iso image (named IMG_2506.CR2) onto the cr3hdr.exe icon (as mentioned in tutorial step #2 below) there's a brief flash of the ms-dos window.. and then nothing.  There's no way to contact him if one doesn't have a Twitter account so I am hoping I can find out here..

Tutorial:

Processing Dual ISO RAW Photos
Here is a step-by-step guide to processing your CR2 files shot in Dual ISO mode.
1) Copy the RAW files into the Photo Works folder.
2) Select all your RAW files and drop them onto the CR2HDR.EXE file
3) The CR2HDR.exe will reprocess all the RAW files into Digital Negative files (DNG)
4) Delete the CR2 files as the DNG files are just as good for adjustment.
5) Open the DNG files in Photoshop. Lightroom seems to throw errors around when trying to read these DNG files.
6) Use Adobe Camera Raw to give the image the desired look.
