Hello all
Need some help with this.
I normally work  in premiere pro with my cinemadng files and i use resolve for the color grading.
The thing is sometimes my projects need some VFX, and I always use after effects. When I have my sequence almost finished except the vfx in premiere, I right clip the DNGsequence to replace with an after composition, but I only get One frame in after. I mean, everything works fine but in after effects i only see the first frame.
Is there any chance so I can get all the project of premiere replacing to after?

Great video. I am wondering same question, how did you do  to not get any grain??

Love it !!
where is this place?

Thanks a lot Danne. It works perfectly
Now I can export directly to premiere. Thanks dude

Hi all.
This is the thing.
I am working with the last 4k crop rec mode.I have been using mlv_dump to convert my mlv files. Now I have the last premiere pro cc2017, and it doesnt accept dng files, only cinema dng files (blackmagic)
So i decided to instale MLVFS, and its works great to convert to cinema dng files, but i get vertical stripes, and there is no possible to fix it (i searched in the forum and nobody knows how to fix this vertical issue on a 5d mark III, even with the vertical stripres fix on, it doest work.
I have install too rawmagic, but it doesnt work with 12 and 10 bit, only with full hd raw (doesnt convert for instance 3k mlv files).
So... what can i do to convert my mlv files (any kind, 3k, 4k, 720p 100fps etc...) to cinemadng files to send them directly to premiere or davinci?? please some help. downgrade to premiere 2015 is not an option for me

Last question beauchampy
What shutter speed did you use to shoot this video in 50p 3x3??
#8
Thanks for your answer. I will make a test this week. By the way, i saw the videos of your vimeo channel. Congratulations they are brilliant

Thanks for your quick answer.
I have been using ML for the last months. And I have noticed that people have to exposure very very well, if you dont want to get noise/grain. I have read in this forum lot of topics about this issue with the grain. Some people posted that we need to overexpose to dont get noise.
How was your workflow during the shoot to get this clean images??
Thanks for sour help beauchampy

I used mlv_dump.osx to get the dng files. Then imported dng files to  after effects. There is no color correction its just what you see in the video. The dngs already looks bad even without make any color grading

Raw Video / RAW with very bad quality
July 29, 2017, 12:06:52 PM
Hi all
I have a big problem and im asking for help. My raw videos looks very bad, they dont have a good quality and i dont know why.
You will see in the links below how the image has a bad grain/noise and its not sharp at all (focus was done perfectly). This happens outdoors and indoors.
https://youtu.be/oyqb29Cpv5U    This video was shoot with 3.5 f 1/50  ISO 500 and 24mm

https://youtu.be/tMVbfaELaec   this second video was shoot with  f23  1/50s   ISO100 and 24 mm

These are the settings i used for shoots:
Canon 5d Mark III
crop mode 3.5 1:1
resolution 3072x1308
2:35:1 aspect ratio
14-bit-lossless
build:magiclantern-crop_rec_4k.2017Jun19.5D3123
Komputerbay 64GB 1066x
canon 24-70 2.8f
LONg exp noise reduction off
hight iso speed nr off
highlight tone priority off

Please help, i will aprecciate so much. I cant work with magic lantern if i get this quality.
Thanks for your help

First of all, you did a great video, seriously, well done.
I don't understand very well why you say that there is no need to strecht with  1920x672?? is it because the black bars??
And why you didn't shoot in 1920x800 2.50:1 aspect ratio 14-bit lossless? you can get continuous recording.
