BTW--if I brick the camera it would probably disappoint the two EOSM2 owners who are following this topic more than it does me. At least I could move on to other projects!
I check in every other day I don't known what's going on but I'm eggerly waiting for this to finally work on EOS m2 lol

If PDR works for you then yes, otherwise use a1ex's raw2dng_cs2x2_whitefix.exe which removes the pink dots and converts to dng in the same step.

The whitefix thing will not open for me at all I'm running widows 7

Any updates on how the coding of the audio chip is going?

Is it at all possible to somehow get double exposure on 650d like the 5dmkIII?

Load SILENT.MO and give it a try.
yeah this isn't at all what I meant I actually hate silent mode becuase it gives you dng wich we all know are pain to work with coming out of this cam with the pink dots and all also with the whole file directory thing plus I use custom picture styles and with silent mode the phots come out completely raw / no profile/pink dots/no white balance. What I'm looking for is a way to snap photos like I. Without live view as in when I use the view finder but while using live view is there anything?
Oh on another note I know shooting raw lets us choose custom aspect ratios but I sthere a way to do this for photo mode? I kno we could just crop in post but that would diminish quality so I don't feel like its bad to ask

Is there at all any possible way to get faster photos like shutter actuations I guess? During liveview?

Latest nightly said something about a new sound system not being a troll but dose this mean the coding of the audio chip went well?
#13
How dose pdr work for 650d any updates on it?

Today I lost about 15 interviews (from total of 45) due to a connection problem of XLR side of my microphone cable. I'm using this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/691061-REG/Hosa_Technology_XVM_102F_XVM_102F_Angled_3_5mm_to.html

The XLR side of this cable is very flimsy and low quality so it quickly disconnects. Anyway... The moment i noticed my interviews gone, i wished I had the headphone monitoring enabled on my camera so that I could intervene immediately.
we have meters using them would have stopped this from happening also using an external field recorder could have prevented this by recording onto the external as well as the line in to your camera.

Hi guys,

Here is a new RAW Video I've made using .MLV Format on my 650d, using the April 22 Alpha built.

Is this in slow motion or time lapse? Thee clouds are so beautiful very nice shot choices

tonight's nightly

No, just the start of the coding of the audio chip.
ok yeah I clicked on it and it's a whole lot of stuff I don't know about aha but this is good right this is what we've needed? Coding the audio chip can get us real meters and monitoring and stuff like that? I'm not asking for it I'm just wondering if all this code is what was needed to possibly bring these things

We  need the following :
Exact audio IC datasheet (I think it was posted some time ago, I'll need to check)
Figure out how canon does i2c (found something already)
Have an headphone monitoring cable on hand (I don't do video so I don't have it, it's secondary as I can blindly try to enable the function and hope it will work)
I think we need a free task in dryos (not sure). This is what I think I solved earlier this week but I'm not sure.
I dont know much but it sounds like its a Lot closer then never! Wow! Keep up the hard work you guys are the best!

I like the db version but does anyone know what the canon increments translated to db is? I usually have my increment on the 1 click but what would that translate to into the db menu? 2?

Mk11174 where can I get the 0-63 updated to mightily version?

21 levels, please don't try to match this cameras sound to a high end audio recorder, as I told you I own broadcast cameras with inferior image quality but way better sound hardware with only 14 levels, 21 is ooookkkkk!
stop comparing this cam to others this cam has 64 because that's what canon put on it, why dose everyone have to be constricted to having to go from fine tuning to 3x steps because your older cams have less steps? mk11174 is an awesome person for doing this and like he said its just a mod if you dont like the fine tune version stick with the x3 version it's that simple

I'm sorry for being out of the know what what is menu backend? And I don't see the problem with adding 1 feature to a camera that has no audio features

I think having two options isn't covered as YAMLMO in this case there's two types of people wanting to use this option people who want to be at max gain faster and people who want same finer steps/working meters.  2 settings isn't a big deal considering before this module we didn't even have an audio tab don't you think?
