Without knowing about ML build version, settings, postprocessing tools: Yes. No. Maybe.

A few seconds into the video you will see the timer stop and the word "Stopped" appear behind the recording icon.

Are there 2 beeps when "Stopped" appears?

Nope, totally out of the question.

Feature Requests / Re: Mirror Lock-up
« on: November 16, 2017, 06:07:56 PM »
Currently we can control Mirror lock-up in two ways.
Always on responds as per Canon, i.e. Two shutter presses, with the first 'just' moving the mirror.

You forgot Canon's timer action. Then you need only one shutter press, mirror goes up and after 2 or 10 seconds shutter is triggered.

Please lookup "crap" and "avoid at all costs" in a dictionary of your choice.
If you insist using those adapters with ML you have to contact adapter manufacturer and ask for remedy.

Any discussion involving RAWmagic is banned in ML forums.

Make sure to wait some time after "power-down" and after opening card-slot before removing card. ML writes data to card *after* screens went dark.

For defective ML card:
Format in cardreader, then format in cam and reinstall ML from scratch.

Do you have troubles with this card only? Try another one.

My 2 cents: Let's not go there.
Imagine every option depending on LV, photo/video mode or else giving popups after - intentionally - switching modes.

Image quality accidently set to JPEG or RAW+JPEG?
Insert a snapshot of your Expo tab here, please.

Select ISO 100.
Reset ML settings to default.
Access Expo tab
Turn on Dual-ISO in Expo tab.

I was talking about SD-to-CF adapters, not about Micro-SD-to-SD adapters. Second one are just a bunch of connectors und wires without any electronics involved. I use them frequently in 650D and other devices and issues I had: Next to non-existent = About same amount I'm having with full-size SD.

Camera-specific discussion / Re: Canon 7D Mark I

Most SD(micro-SD)-to-CF adapters are crap and will cause compatibility problems (=unusable) with ML. Avoid at all costs.

60D features Digic 4 processor. 100D comes with Digic 5. See feature matrix -> Audio and get aware for the big gap between those cams coming with/without Digic 4. There is/was a new audio interface in development but - as always - there is no schedule. Digic 5 cam owners are stuck with audio functions provided by Canon.

Welcome to ML development! You know where to start, I suppose.

Camera-specific discussion / Re: Canon 700D / T5i

This one requires lossless compression. EOS M and 700D do share the same card interface specs: SDR50/UHS50 (about 50 MByte/s). Without compression required bandwidht exceeds 40 MByte/s (pure RAW/MLV without H.264 proxy) and I haven't seen continuous recording at this rate.

Raw Video / Re: Shooting raw monochrome?
« on: November 05, 2017, 11:12:33 PM »
You *are* shooting monochrome. Sort of.

Or to answer your question: For your cam it will not reduce the amount of data to process in camera for raw recording.

« on: November 04, 2017, 01:17:21 AM »
Yes, somewhere between 2.3 "stable" and now this option got lost. Maybe a1ex knows why.
Never missed this option. But I'm not into video that much. JMMV. You have 3.5 options:
- Surpress overlays (and zebras, histogramm, etc, too) for clean HDMI output or else.
- Just go with overlays and without option to surpress audio meters.
- Ask nicely to get this menu option back and tell exactly why you can't do without.
- Download Bitbucket repository and edit code as needed/wanted.

Tutorials and Creative Uses / Re: Intervalometer

As written before: I cannot recommend to rely on ML (or any software at all) for long term use. Think about some device using a watchdog timer taking care things running as planned. ML may or maybe not take part in this operation.

Cannot help with samples but I think there might be a show stopper at hand:
100D is out of stock for some time and IMO not among those cams rental agencies stocked up in such quantities. I would suggest to make sure you can get hold of that number at all.

Hardware and Accessories / Re: Komputerbay 1066x cards with USB 2 readers
« on: November 03, 2017, 12:50:05 PM »
My 128 GB 1066x came with a warning sticker about *only use in UDMA7 compatible cardreaders* or physical damage will occur.
So: If your cardreader supports UDMA-7 (just UDMA or UDMA-6 will not qualify) you are fine. If not: Your call. UDMA-7 mode use lower voltage and KB cards can get fried by higher voltages in non-UDMA7 mode.
Some older cardreaders may require firmware upgrade (if any) to become UDMA 7 compatible. If used with outdated firmware -> card in danger again.

And your problem exactly is? Why not take half a minute for each card and format them on the spot tomorrow?
If semi-bricking cams (or incompatible ML versions) is your trouble: Format them in your cam now with "Remove ML" option active.

Use another computer/OS. Some OS X versions are known to have compatibility issues with ExFAT.

Consult your Canon camera manual how to turn off sound recording.
