Yes, somewhere between 2.3 "stable" and now this option got lost. Maybe a1ex knows why.
Never missed this option. But I'm not into video that much. JMMV. You have 3.5 options:
- Surpress overlays (and zebras, histogramm, etc, too) for clean HDMI output or else.
- Just go with overlays and without option to surpress audio meters.
- Ask nicely to get this menu option back and tell exactly why you can't do without.
- Download Bitbucket repository and edit code as needed/wanted.
