Title: Silent pic not working anymore on EOS 7D(markI)?
Post by: Sun7D on September 27, 2017, 10:55:48 PM
Over the last couple of years I've been using the Silent Pic - module many times , mainly for creating panoramas.Especially when saving all pics as one large MLV-file is an awesome feature.
But the last couple of versions of MagicLantern it doesn't work anymore.
At least not on my 7D. On my EOS M it still works(nightly2017july27)so it seems, but I use it mainly on my 7D.
When I try to use it with a recent build(september 2017), after I push 'halfshutter', it gives me a short beep, on screen it says something like 'hold on' ( or 'on hold') , and then 'preparing'.
Then it stays that way, but no picture being taken.
I had to go back to older builds to make it work again ( like 2017jan14 and 2017feb12), but on most recent builds it isn't working anymore.

I find it odd that I couldn't find any posts about this issue.Maybe I'm the only person with a 7D using the feature.Or has something maybe changed in the way that the silent pic module is working? Or is it a bug, and I discovered it?
I hope someone has an answer, and I hope it will be fixed too in future builds.

No troubles here. Tested with build 2017-Sep-12.

MLV_REC.mo, Silent.mo, and File_man.mo loaded. Handling is a little bit tricky.
After "Hold on" screen blanks, pic gets captured and you have to press Half-Shutter again to get LV back after.
