Title: 5D Mark iii downgrade from 1.2.3 and installed ML; Can't find raw in video menu
Post by: nicolomaserati on August 20, 2017, 08:03:04 AM
Hey everyone! Brand new to ML as of about 30 min ago lol

I had updated my 5D Mark iii to version 1.3.4 and then as of today, downgraded to 1.2.3 so I could run ML. So I downloaded ML and want to have the ability to record in RAW but unfortunately there is no option for RAW in video settings. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Sorry but I read that and I really don't understand a lot of it or what I'm supposed to do.

The wall you are seeing in front of you is called "The ML Learning Curve". Most of us have been there before.

Because of cam memory management (or lack of) some ML functions have been placed into modules and you have to enable them manually once before using them. Both RAW recording methods (yes, ML has two different RAW recording options) are modules. Highlight a module and press "Q" button for further info. And lookup forum threads for some more info. Most of them are linked in https://builds.magiclantern.fm/features.html
