Got the RC1 this morning and now the RC2 is already available, and the finished version should be here by the 23rd.
You guys are fast!

I'll swap to the RC2 and continue testing then, first time using of Magic Lantern, all those features are overwhelming. Thanks for creating such an awesome piece of software.

I had a few issues installing this on my 550D at first it couldnt find the fonts file then the crop marks so i solved this by creating folders for ML/DATA/file name and then creating the folder for the cropmark solved all my issues dont know if this has been noted but i have now fixed the issue Canon 550D 1.0.9

Did you unzip all ML files? I hope you didn't just copy autoexec.bin.

Yes, this will work. Make sure you unzip everything, some data files were changed too.

as promised i went put there to test the rc2. found a bug, i don't know if it is new or is was already present, but this time happened for the first time.
i love the automatic hdr, because, especially in the night, it's difficult to know how many exposures you need for an hdr because of the high dynamic range in the scene (from the deep black of the sky to the bright white of a street light for example. so today i've used it a lot. but sometimes simply i'm satisfied with the exposures taken, and i don't want to finish the last, 10minutes, exposure. so here comes the bug. if i press menu, the hdr work stops correctly, but if i switch off the camera, when it's caputring (so, breaking a shot when it's shooting) the camera stops working. when i switch on thee camera, all the shooting capabilities are broken. the menus is showed, the canon and the ml one, but when i try to take a shot (with or worhout hdr activated) the camera throws an error (the duration of the mesage is too fast for reading more about the kind of error). the solution i've used was to drop off the battery, and then all works fine, until the next hdr breaked in the middle of a shot. iwill do some more testing about this issue (but as always it's a non issue, if one knows about it). the rest i've tried for now worked well

I stop long exposures by a half-shutter press and then press MENU. I'll take a closer look.
If you can reproduce the error, let me know how.
I've noticed something similar with Samyang 8mm in daylight (because of the black lens hood visible in the image).
